The German-Belarusian Society (dbg) is a Berlin-based non-profit organization that promotes dialogue and cooperation between Belarus and Germany across fields such as culture, science, business, and civil society.

In 2022, I worked on the rebranding of the organization’s visual identity. The main challenge was to redesign the brand mark while keeping the recognizable text logo and avoiding the use of national flag colors that had become politically sensitive after the 2020 events in Belarus.

The new symbol draws inspiration from the cornflower — a traditional element of Belarusian culture — translated into a simple geometric form that works across both digital and print applications.

Scope &
my role

The project included the redesign of the logo and brand mark, development of a new color palette, and the creation of a cohesive visual identity system.

I also designed a brand book defining the logotype structure, color usage, and visual guidelines to ensure consistent application across the organization’s communication materials, including publications, presentations, and digital platforms.
