Photo and video content created during a winter trip to Snow Monkey Park in Nagano, Japan. The project focuses on observing wild Japanese macaques in their natural environment, documenting everyday moments of the monkeys bathing in hot springs against a snowy mountain landscape.
In addition to destination photography, the project included informative Instagram content — a reel and a carousel — designed to help travelers understand what to expect when visiting the park, how to plan a winter trip, and how to observe the animals respectfully. The content combined atmosphere-driven visuals with practical travel tips, resulting in strong organic engagement.
Organic reach & engagement
The Snow Monkey Park content demonstrated strong organic engagement across both photo and video formats. A single photo post reached over 84,000 views with a high save-to-like ratio, indicating strong interest in the destination and its uniqueness. In parallel, an informative Instagram Reel focused on visiting the park in winter reached nearly 100,000 views, generating thousands of saves and interactions. Together, these results highlight the effectiveness of combining atmospheric visuals with practical travel information, creating content that audiences actively return to when planning their trips.
