About the project
Location: Nara, Japan
Nara is often defined by a single image — deer wandering freely through the park. While that moment is still part of the story, this project looks beyond it, exploring the city through its quieter details and less obvious spaces.
The project helps to see Nara in a different way — through narrow streets, small sake breweries, and nearly empty shrines, capturing a slower rhythm of the city. Together, these moments create a more layered view of Nara, one that feels lived-in, understated, and connected to everyday life rather than just its most recognizable landmark.
Organic reach & engagement
An Instagram Reel created as part of this travel project shares practical tips for visiting Nara, combining well-known highlights like the deer park with lesser-known spots across the city.
The video performed strongly with the audience, reaching 80,000+ views, 1K+ shares, and 2.4K saves, demonstrating how informative, experience-based content drives high engagement and saves from travelers planning their trips.
